DSB | End of Week Wrap Up | 6th of August 2021

Dear Consumer Data Right participants and other interested parties,

Happy Friday all, here is the end of the week update for the Consumer Data Standards.

News and Announcements

Latest Standards, Consumer Experience, tooling and Consumer Data Right announcements.

Consultation on changes to support V3 Rules

Please be aware a placeholder has been published to capture the proposed changes for the Consumer Data Standards in support of the V3 Rules consultation. This Data Standards Body consultation will include technical, consumer experience and Register changes.

Note: the consultation is yet to be finalised.

CX Guidelines Update

On the 5th of August the Data Standards Body published updates to the CX Guidelines:

  • Downloadable CX Checklist now available for 1.11.0. This checklist contains all existing CX Standards plus key requirements for all current artefacts.
  • Minor updates for Consent Management (Data Holder): Dashboards. Includes new guidelines, minor wireframe revision and updated open source asset.

DSB Schema Tools

The Data Standards Body have put together two new methods of validating your schemas as a Data Holder: The DSB Schema Tools. These include a Postman Collection and a set of compliant schemas to validate your payloads. This does not replace the Conformance Test Suite from the ACCC but offers a means for participants to explore the endpoints and test their solutions early in development.

Please note: these are supplied as a best efforts and by no means a commercial competitor in the Consumer Data Right space. We highly recommend you engage one of the many service providers in the market for commercial and warranty supported solutions.

Conventions

As part of the Consumer Data Right Implementation Call we are looking to introduce implementation specific topics and discussions. To kick these off we will commence the review and discussion of the current Conventions currently proposed on the CDR Support Portal.

Each week, where able to, the DSB will present the proposed convention to the members of the CDR Implementation Call and seek to discuss the narrative, intent and scope of the convention.

We would not seek to ratify the Convention during the session but more of socialisation of the available Conventions for the CDR participants to support and help develop.

Action Initiation Workshop MIRO Board

Post the successful workshop on the 27th of July 2021 we have curated the MIRO Activity Board. You can now view the outcomes and use cases the nine different groups put together on the day: https://miro.com/app/board/o9J_l55v_aw=/

The outputs from this initial workshop are being analysed to identify the scope of instructions raised in the workshop, and where instructions can support a broad range of value propositions. These outputs are being synthesised to generate a better understanding of what high value instructions might look like.
