Happy Thursday all, here is the end of the (short) week update for the Consumer Data Standards.

Caretaker Role

The Government is now in a caretaker role as the election has been called. Information on the https://consumerdatastandards.gov.au/ website will be published in accordance with the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet’s Guidance on Caretaker Conventions. No election-related material will be available on this website. Please see the relevant minister's or party’s website for more information on election-related material.

"During the caretaker period, the business of government continues and ordinary matters of administration still need to be addressed.", from Section 2.4 of the Caretaker Convention Guidelines.

The making and amending of the non-legislative Data Standard instruments are considered an ordinary matter of administration.

 

Extension of Decision Proposals

All open Decision Proposals with Feedback Closure dates have been extended to the 27th of May 2022.

 

Noting Paper 248 - Product Reference Data for Energy

The noting paper outlines the exposure patterns and obligations regarding product reference data (ie. Generic Tariffs) in the energy sector.

CDR Implementation Call for the 21st of April 2022

The Consumer Data Right Implementation Call planned on the 21st of April 2022 will be cancelled to allow the Community, the DSB, and the ACCC members on the Call to take a break.

We encourage the Community to take time to recharge and relax with family and friends. The CDR Implementation Call will recommence on the next Thursday 28th of April 2022. We will update the invitations and send out cancellations for this instance.
 

CX artefacts - Consumer dashboard variation for Trusted Adviser disclosure consents

New CX artefacts and guidelines to support Consent Management (Data recipient): Disclosure consents, Trusted Advisers disclosure consent.

  • Consent Management (Data recipient) artefacts provide implementation examples to reflect the new rules on TA disclosure consents, and the CX standards introduced in v1.16.0, related to Disclosure Consent: Non-Accredited Person Disclosure Notification.
  • CX Checklist (on website) includes key requirements and guidelines related to TA disclosure consents, see checklist references starting with 4CM1.04.

 

10th Maintenance Iteration

The 10th Maintenance Iteration Working Group met on the 13th of April 2022. This was the final meeting for the 10th Iteration. The changes completed as part of the 10th Maintenance Iteration will be incorporated into the Decision Proposal 237 and presented to the Data Standards Chair.

11th Maintenance Iteration

The 11th Maintenance Iteration will commence on the 27th of April 2022 @ 2:00PM AEST. Invitations have been sent out to the existing Maintenance Working Group members. If you would like to join the 11th Maintenance Iteration please send a note to contact@consumerdatastandards.gov.au.
